What Should The West Do?

The commonly held fear is that Putin will resort to chemical weapons and used them on Ukraine's civilian population. If so what do you guys believe NATO and the Western Alliance's response should be? Given that the man has no concept of human decency and has set out to destroy Ukraine in order to in his sick mind save it from corrupt western morals and ideals, should NATO shift from it's charter as a purely defensive military force and go on the offensive by taking on Putin in Ukraine despite the fact that Ukraine is not a NATO member?

Those are “common fears” among Biden-bots that ingest too much left wing propaganda.

When are you planning the “Joe Biden saved the world” marketing campaign?

Do you really believe everything CNBC and CNN tell you to believe?

Putin is destroying Russia it seems to me. Hard to wage war when you are broke and starving. Keep up all sanctions.

He's aligning with Iran and China. 80 percent of India's oil comes from Russia. Saudi Arabia is questioning petrodollar dominance.

You have to keep in mind that Putin is an evil, brutal, authoritarian dictator. He can weather economic hardship and hold onto power. Is America willing to suffer the consequences these sanctions will blowback on us? Doubt it.

the people I feel sorry for but why does anyone think the Ukrainian government is good? This is a big misrepresentation. I mean good God we basically created this issue and now the crocodile tears ?

The world needs to move to nuclear energy. And any mad man president that causes trouble should be removed one way or another. 40 acres and a mule to own the means of production, abundant cheap energy, and limited government.

That was the original intent until Clinton agreed to a restructuring of NATO because Yeltsin screamed at him and frightened him.

Clinton appeased Boris after the "Budapest Blowup" when Boris wanted NATO to stop its expansion and include them in the "G-8".
Instead, we/they changed the NATO Mission and created the "Partnership for Peace" program which completely watered down (now because "the new charge has been that way for a long time") the original NATO Mission.

US Democrats have a long history of pacification. Their idea of "strategy" is to promise what they can't deliver on and then give up something as a compromise....

Putin is just acting on the predictable weakness of every Democrat that's been in the Oval Office for the last 30+ years.

Read your history.

NATO's charter clearly defines the organizations objectives as defensive . To defend the member nations against foreign aggression.
