Stir flour, baking powder, salt and ginger together. Stir into egg mixture along with vanilla. Fold in diced pear and coconut. </p><p></p><p>Spoon over hot baked short bread layer; spread level. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes longer, until lightly browned. Cool in pan. Cut into bars when cold.</p></blockquote><p></p>
