I hate to dissapppoint any of you but I DR anything that is coded for a signature> I just DR'ed one of these printers the other day. If it has a "03" then it gets driver released, Buh bye package!

I had 12 send agains one day last week.

LOL! I have that many on a daily basis! Stupid apartments!

Anyways, our sup told us that if the sig req or the dreaded Adult sig req is not built into the tracking number we are free to dr. He also told us that little stickers that say sig req or handwritten notes are to be ignored. Thank god for that as, if it wasn't for the old dr, I'd have 200 stops by Friday.

Christ, Dirty Savage, your sups a maroon. No wonder we're losing business.

There's an option in the DIAD to change a non-signature required barcode when there is a signature required sticker. The customer gets charged for it AND we get a signature LIKE THE CUSTOMER WANTS.

What if there's bullets, guns, narcotics, or porn in that box? We can't just DR it when there's a sig req sticker on it. Tell your sup he is STUPID.

After you scan the package hit the pkg info soft key, and you can select "sig req" or "adult sig req".

Do the RIGHT thing!

I'm with you DS, we were told the exact same thing and it was actually brought up to us from our Loss Prevention Manager.

I agree 100%! We were told that they can have every kind of "Signature Required" sticker in the world on the package. But if it's an "03" then DR it. Just make sure you cover your butt, as in Out Of Sight and Out Of Weather

Send Agains,.....the bane of every pkg driver.

Don't let them talk you into DR'ing elec products. You will never be reprimanded for using good judgment. Ask your sup or center manager if they will be there for you when a cust claims they never recd that high value pkg.

Why would you do that? That doesn't even make sense.

Which is worse- breaking the 42" plasma when it is unloaded and loaded again, and possibly again as a send again, or making a safe driver release and the consignee getting the thing in one piece?:bored:

Where in the diad board is a place to change it to sig required so the customer gets charged. Is that feature in all districts. I have never heard of it before. Of course we did not get the pcm on the lexmarks either. My manager told us at one time to go ahead and get the signature if they use the little stickers that it is probably something we offered to do to keep the account.
