Where did MItt Romney LOSE the election??

I might as well get a jump on this topic and begin to sort out where the Romney campaign fell apart.

I for one say, he was never qualified to run for national office, he didnt really win the nomination, he simply bought it by outspending his opponents and forcing them to quit. In many states, he never got more than 27% of the vote which meant 63% were voting against him.

September has been the biggest disaster for Mitt Romney. The GOP convention set Romney up for failure in september by having a crappy presentation that was topped off by donut boy talking about himself instead of MITT, and an old aging actor who talked to a chair.

Mitt wasnt suppose to win anyways.

He's been running for 7 years now and you would think he had it all figured out, but he doesnt. If a person tries for 7 years to run for the highest office in the land and still screws that up, then he doesnt deserve the job in the first place.

I say he lost the race in the month of september. The debates wont help him, FOX isnt hosting one, and he will have to face the music, his own music.

No softball questions will be tossed at him.. No brett baier to lob slow underhand pitches at him or Meygan Kelly to pre read bullet points to Romney before asking him a question he could knock out of the park.

Mitt was horrible in the GOP debates and the more he spoke, the more he fell in the polls. It was soo bad, Mitts team cancelled his appearance at all the remaining GOP debates.

So, in my opinion, September 2012 with his writing off of half of america and insulting seniors, troops, students and families making less than 50K a year is the point where he lost this election.

"ill never convince the 47% to take personal responsibility for their lives"..... they are just moochers off the goverment....

Think this soldier will vote for romney? I wonder if ROMNEY thinks he's a freeloader dependent on the goverment for food?

Has Mitt lost, yet? Considering what's been going on, you'd think Obama would be higher in the polls.
Why would you think that? Not like there's a stellar economy erupting. This election was going to be a referendum on Obama and the economy, wasn't it? I'd say that's where Mitt lost it. He entered into the "Choice" battle that Obama always wanted the day he picked Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Supposedly, Jimmy Carter was leading by something like 10 at this time in the campaign and Reagan ended up winning.

Wow. Taking comfort in a past that is not present. Newsflash: Obama is not Carter, Romney is not Reagan, and there has not been and will not be large pools of swing voters. If Mitt's going to move the needle, he needs to get to it...now.

according to the last 'poll' Obama is at the magical 50% mark- and theres only 43 days left..
I saw something the other day that he only needs 27 more out of the 270 electoral votes.
I don't know how they know this stuff. And, who are they polling anyway? I'm on the don't call list. Most people I know are. Also, with caller id, you don't answer those annoying calls from Ohio or wherever. A lot of people only have cell phones, now. Who are they really polling?

This kind of contradicts you post #5, doesn't it? Why would Obama be higher in the polls if, as you suggest here, the polls are completely unreliable?

I am simply asking who they are polling. I'm not saying the polling is wrong. I'm not saying anything. Merely asking. Who are they polling? And, how do they know how many votes he needs in September? I do think, considering the fiasco called the Romney campaign, that Obama should be a little higher as he is the only other major player. The economy is turning around, as we all knew it would in time. I don't blame everything on Obama. I blame Bush(there, I said it) for a majority of the woes are country is going through. But, Obama could have handled things differently. Don't go to Martha's Vineyard while the country is floundering. Stuff like that is ridiculous. Who else can I blame for doing that? His wife should have been pushing this gardening at home thing and the obesity thing a lot harder and louder than she did. She is a lovely person and she could have been used much more effectively that she was. I see her all over now, but it's election season, too. It reeks of campaigning, not of caring about her causes.

I am not a Mitt supporter, and I think Obama is a great guy, but is in over his head. I don't blame him. I just think he didn't do the job he could have done. Hell, I voted for him.

He should have ran with the new tax code-flat rate, no deductions- and made the republicans look like the bad guy for not being willing to change it. That, alone, would change everything.

Passion. He just isn't a passionate dude. He reminds me of Ferris Bueller's teacher, sometimes.

He should have put Harry Reid and Nancy out to pasture. Those two are horrendous. I think he is learning, but it's too late.

I think in the coming weeks, you will see Obama rise another couple points in the polls (for whatever that's worth) and solidify leads in "swing states". Romney and Ryan have no choice anymore but to get specific on how conservative approaches would be better for the country. Unfortunately for the Republican brand, the party has done itself no favors in being the "party of no" and painting a target on it's back.
