Where to find paid holiday calendar??

Just wanting to know where to find out our paid holidays. Are we working on July 5th?

Holidays are listed in the NMA and on the UPS calendar.

Here is a good rule of thumb:

If the national holiday is on a Saturday our schedule does not change and we get an extra day's pay.

If the national holiday is on a Sunday our schedule does change--we do not work the following day and are paid for the day off.

There are 2 UPS "holidays' that are not national holidays. The day after Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve are UPS holidays and our operations are limited on those 2 days (delivery of premium products only).

Some people may be required to work on a named holiday. Holiday pay is guaranteed, but the day off is not. On July 5th it's very unlikely, on the day after Thanksgiving it's almost a sure bet that the lower seniority people will be working. There may also be some critical feeder and shuttles that operate on a holiday.

It's also a sure bet that this higher seniority person will be working. It is such easy money, especially when we load the package cars.
