Milk $3.89 used to be 2.49 OJ $5.29 used to be 2.99 Twinkies $1.99 used to be .99 Eggs $4.99 used to be 1.99 Apples $2.99 used to be .99 Bacon $8.99 used to be 3.99 Frozen Pizza $8.99 used to be 3.99 Bread $4.99 used to be 1.99 all the used to be prices were just 6 months ago or so. this is just a small example from our local Save Mart today Costco is not much better. They are talking another increase on social security of 8.9%. That helps but not very much. At this rate I will be making more on SS than my pension in a couple years. Fortunately we can live on pension alone. I put most of the SS in a Vanguard S&P 500 Index fund to stay ahead of inflation. You can't buy produce at Costco unless you eat it all in a couple days. It goes bad fast. The gas is $4.89 there .
