I worked 9.77 hours yesterday so why Pay Actual?
If you use the same board and codes as we do on the warmer side of the border, check your pay code in the verify screen. Code 06 is the guarantee, code 05 is pay actual.

Not at all. Pay actual and pay guarantee coding is internal to ups for determining our pay rate and hours, it's not in our contract. How familiar are either of you guys with the Canadian UPS IBT collective bargaining agreement?
Because you are actually getting paid for 9.77 hours. I know it’s crazy right?I worked 9.77 hours yesterday so why Pay Actual?

That's true, but I was just talking about the codes as per the original post. The codes are internal, but the guarantee is absolutely a contractual matter.

If I work 7/8 hours with lunch and don't get asked if I want to go home am I supposed to be paid 8h as a 22.4?
Yes but they don’t seem to do it automatically you have to make noise about itIf I work 7/8 hours with lunch and don't get asked if I want to go home am I supposed to be paid 8h as a 22.4?
shoulda taken less than 1hr lunch thenYo this company can be trash sometimes. Please don't make me file a grievance over $11 shorted on Monday cus they changed my time to a code 5. FOH, give me my darn guaranteed 8!
No offense but I don’t think you understand what the codes really mean...the ability to take a shorter lunch is just a side effect of the fact that you are agreeing to “pay actual” which may (or may not) be shorter than 8 hrs. They force you to take a full lunch if you want to demand your 8 hrs of work. What happened to the other guy was that he punched in as code 6, worked a hair short of 8 hrs, and then had his pay shorted because they changed the code for that day later on. Which they do so often that it might as well be company policy.shoulda taken less than 1hr lunch then
code 5 means u can take 15m. home early by 45m

I’m 1 month and a half as a driver. My paycheque says I’m paying the union 18.50 per week. Does it mean I’m full time?
