I'm no kayak expert but it seems to me that a kayak would survive a lot better in your system than the average box. They're pretty sturdy. Not sure about what that thing is on top though.

I would have instructed them of probable damage, and that UPS wouldn't pay for damages, and take if they agreed to it.

It would get scratched up and have other heavier packages placed on top of it. That is a damage claim waiting to happen. Not everything is a parcel

The kayak definitely is freight. If they would of put some cardboard and bubble wrap around the wheel, it would of been okay. At least some shrink wrap.

One of the Hub guys working Saturday Air informed me that you cannot be forced to handle live animals. I had a box of crickets going to Petco. I had never heard that before. Is it the same for fish?
