    Speeding ticket

Guys, I had a driver ask me a question saturday morning. I didn't know the answer. He got a speeding ticket and paid the fine. Simple civil citation. Does this affect employment? I only know there is an annual review but is it something to worry about? Clean driving history otherwise and a good...

    Same day delivery stop counts.

There is a such thing as a FDX Office delivery driver? I thought this was all a lame joke.

So you want a proper raise in pay?

I look like Woody Allan.... if Woody Allen was a fat slob who worked sluggishly at a dead end mid-level job at FedEx. As for being a writer, I am working on a cookbook. I was going to make one Paula Dean style, where I focus primarily on fatty, fried foods. But somehow she ended up being a...

    Any news on raises?

FedEx gave me two raises. One was my cholesterol, and the other was my blood pressure. Actually, the Taco Bell doritos tacos most likely did that. In return for my raise, I do less and less at work. It's a good relationship.

    Brilliant business idea

True dat. I do quarterly vehicle inspections on all the Ground vehicles here. I announce to the driver the exact day I'm going to do it, but I do it very subtly as to not violate FedEx policy. As I'm eating a donut, I approach said driver and say "Hey (name), I'm going to inspect your vehicle on...

So you want a proper raise in pay?

I sit on my butt all day. I don't even WAD. I do what Im told only when someone is watching. Once they leave, it's Angry Birds: Rio !! I have yet to be fired. I think they're catching on to me though. My QA shelf is full of 02's I have yet to correct and I weigh like 400 pounds.

    FedEx Understands, and Knows U

Wow, you're right. The living wages in my area are MUCH higher than what I assumed. You are more of a crook than I thought. I gave a well thought out post about a question you posed, based on personal experience and insight. You copied and pasted a link from MIT. That must have been mind...

    $14hr straight time?

14 an hour is what Ground pays here. It's all salaried, but once hours are factored in it is about 12-15.

What Could You Do With $3,300 A Week?

Did Michelle actually state she was called of God to be president? Or did she infer it by bringing up religion at some point? Very different things.

Or the next Rick Santorum, who said he was "called by God" to run for president. Bill Clinton, where are youuuuuuuuuu

    FedEx Understands, and Knows U

A living wage in my area? I would estimate it to be around $35,000 for a single person with no dependents. That includes a modest home, a car, food, utilities, etc. All the trappings of a modest, livable American life. I could drag healthcare into this, but it is such a politically and socially...

    FedEx Understands, and Knows U

Those are silly examples of boss over-involvement STFXGHJKL, and you know it. I'll point out the elephant in the room. Boss involvement equates to livable wages, benefits, and perhaps a 401k. This is the crux of the problem with Ground, not micro managing delivery numbers and other situations.

    $550 +commission?

Bro, I told you the contractors blow smoke. 700 is not a stretch in California. In my area, and in other low cost of living areas, you're looking at 500-650 max. Talk to the drivers to find out the actual hours. My guess is, it's as close to the 60 hour DOT limit as possible. Find out if you...

    $550 +commission?

bbsam is becoming more human. Volunteer work is good for the soul. You seem like a decent guy, and I worried that being immersed in the Ground corporate culture would eat away at you. You seem able to deflect it and justify it all somehow, but it eats away at even the strongest person...
