New egg is a company that i can't say enough good things about. They have gone above and beyond in this situation, and have really exceeded my expectations. I have built two computers from parts purchased exclusively from New egg and will continue to do so as they have always had good prices and fantastic customer service. With that being said I am with everyone here that this problem has more to do with UPS than with New Egg. I guess my next course of action may be to have to stop by the center that covers my home since it is based in the building i work in and have a chat with the center manager, and perhaps it will get this issue fixed. While I am not opposed to finding another use for it I have only paid for the two good speakers that i now use, and don't want a charge for a 3rd that I really don't need or for UPS to catch up with this situation and having LP getting involved making it into a federal case since technically this is supposed to be the property of my employer. Perhaps i am over thinking this, but I just don't care for the possibility of any future repercussions over this situation. New Egg sent me an e-mail with an RMA number for this speaker, and every time I have discussed it with them they claim to just wait for UPS to do something. It is interesting that a process that should take one day as you state is going on for over a month now. As soon as I noticed the damage and reported it I reboxed the speaker and it has been taking up valuable floor space in my garage ever since.
