Re: The Mouth of HATE SPEECH says something even more ridiculous on the AIR! Now you are talking about a group of people that do not work for fedex or fedex ground? That's false. Do you understand that? If the majority of employees at fedex wanted a union they would have one. The pilots found a way to organize. They wanted a union and they got one. They actually work for fedex unlike your example of the employees of fedex ground contractors. My neighbor is a fedex ground contractor and he thinks you are full of it. He does very well. He only owns a handful of trucks. He loves what he does. He used to drive for a union company and when they went out of business he went to RPS which later became fedex. Over the years he has saved money to expand his business and employ additional drivers. His wife was able to quit her job. He paid to send three kids to college. On the flip side there are many actual fedex drivers that I talk to that would love to be in a union. When I ask them if they have actually called the union hall to start the process the answer is always that they don't want it that bad. Life is sometimes difficult and to get what you want takes effort. They alway look at me and say it isn't fair that I make ten bucks an hour more than them. They always only have to drop a trailer in a door and hook up to a load and pull it. They always have people inside to load their trailers and scan their boxes while they sit in their trucks talking on the phone. I'm inside loading my trailer, acting as a customer service rep, and a salesman in the same amount of time that fedex has five or six people at an account. Cry me a river.
