Calling out after the 2 day break allowed?

I know some companies will not pay you if you call out before or after a paid holiday. is this the case at UPS?

Depends on your supplement-----some require that you work both the day before and after while others only require that you work either the day before or the day after.

Best thing to do to make sure that you get paid is to go to work when scheduled to do so.

Not the case at ups...was years ago but YES u will get paid....go ahead and call off...thought about it myself

Some supplements require both days worked to get paid for holiday.

my supplement just requires you work either 2 days of a holiday week or 0 days (like vacation, comp etc) to get paid for the holiday. it doesn't matter about the day before or the day after. paid sick days and OPHs are considered a work day to this rule. scheduled days off without pay are not. i could work today, bang tomorrow and OPH on Wednesday and i will get paid for the 2 holidays.
