That has nothing to do with cities losing tax revenue because the wealthy are moving out and taking their businesses with them.

Talking about real world complications that arise from failure to control crime. If your cities lose tax revenue from the wealthy fleeing, then they can't provide the services you're always demanding. They also end up with food deserts. That's when the poor have to travel some distance to get groceries because supermarkets/Walmart won't locate in their areas due to high crime. You are constantly going on about evil corporations but those corporations serve very real needs. That's the point of capitalism. People see a need and provide goods and services to fill that need. Businesses don't exist just to exist. And they can only tolerate so much before they give up and leave. They aren't going to stay just to lose money from constant theft. If their store closes at 9 p.m. and they're afraid of just going to their car to leave they aren't going to stay very long either. Cops are there to protect everyone and if you remove them there are real world consequences. Somehow trying to justify what's going on by saying white collar criminals steal too doesn't make what's going on in many major cities any less traumatic for their residents.
