Although this is a poorly organized protest with no defined leaders, some of them have good points. From the way I am seeing this the main point is about class warfare. Wall street is just a symbol. Now their "demands" seem a little ridiculous, but I hadn't seen that until now. I was looking at a web site with stories about the "99%." The 99% being the percantage of americans that make up the working poor and that is where I am getting the basis for my opinion. Admitt it or not the middle class is dissapearing. The "class divide" is getting larger everyday due to corporate greed. Did our own CEO need 7.8 million in bonus? Who in the hell NEEDS that much money? They spend all day looking for was to cut back to grow the profits and therefore stock prices rather than trying to grow the bussiness. Yes, we are stock holders so the stock price is important but it should NOT be a sole motivator. Companies that fail to grow fail. He is set for life with the money he has already made in his short time as CEO. If this company goes under tomorrow WE are the ones that are screwed. All the while our part timers, the back bone of this company, have not had a raise in base pay since 1978! This scenario plays out in every major corporation all over the country. More money for me and my MBA friends all on the backs of the working poor! I am glad some people are standing up even if they are poorly organized and under informed. If you miss things the way they were then tax a millionaire, buy american, and support a union!
