Couple of quick notes, for the new Tasks: you can still do all your "tasks" the same way as before the upgrade. The tasks will disappear from the EDD Manifest (be completed) whether completed through the EDD Manifest or through any other method. They are just listed for reference on the EDD Manifest. Therefore, if you are using the correct methods there should be no interruption to your routine. It is true that the EDD Manifest is becoming the new "main menu" for the DIAD. The concept is to make this DIAD screen a time-ordered list of all work to be completed. Much like a daily schedule within programs like Outlook Calendar. As far as Misloads: they are part of ODS communications as you are sending a "Misload Communication" to the center. Just follow the normal steps to send a Text Message and select option 4- Misload Text Message from the "Select Message Destination" DIAD screen. Remember that this is only intended as a message. If the package can not be delivered that day by yourself or by another service provider it should be recorded as a misload. With regards to training: all service providers are to be given a PCM-type training ( 2-days for EDD ctrs, 1 day for non-EDD ctrs) led by a center team member that uses the "Service Provider Training Guide" which contains a training script that contains additional details to accompany the DIAD training modules. This training can be downloaded from the Corp IE I-Gate web site on the UPS VPN Intranet site. The complete DIAD/DCS materials for this release are contained within the "DIAD/DCS Procedures" webpage in the folder for "DIAD/DCS 08.08 Sept 2009 Release." The DIAD training modules are to be active through the end of the month.
