Let me give you a taste of what my center manager has had to deal with in the past two weeks. He covers two centers. In my center one of our feeder guys was involved in a horrific accident which thankfully he walked away from with just a scratch on his leg. The center manager told us that when he first pulled on to the scene he thought for sure he would be notifying next of kin--that's how bad the accident was. Last week there was a chain reaction accident in which a semi plowed in to a line of parked cars, killing 6 people---one of the victims was the daughter of a UPSer. He has had two on-car supervisors retire who have yet to be replaced and an OMS who took a week off for her son's wedding. He has had to deal with a driver in my center who had "heat issues" on road one day and "belly issues" the next. Oh, and the district decided to push our start time back to 0930. Still think center manager's don't do jack :censored:?
