Absolutely don't ask around at work. According to the U3 plan (UPS employees that entered CS H&W post-2013) which should be comparable to the other plans, cost for an in-network behavioral specialist or a substance abuse specialist is 20% after deductible for outpatient services. Maxes out to 30 days per calendar year, which is substandard in my opinion and doesn't even allow for one visit per week. You didn't mention specifics and I'm not assuming you have any substance abuse issues, but will just state this for anyone else reading: If at all possible, never use the company program for substance abuse and use your insurance instead. If inpatient services are needed, use short term disability and/or FMLA to maintain benefits. While everything is supposed to be confidential, managers and supervisors gossip like a bunch of :censored:ing hens and there's a good chance half your center will know within a week of you pulling the trigger. One last thing: good on you for asking and realizing you need help. A lot of people have been there in the past but will never admit it, and talking to someone can help immensely to get you back on track.
