Drivers: Your Every Day Carry (not guns!)

I'm just messing with ya.

Really though I think the point is what you bring to make the day more enjoyable or easier on yourself. Of course you don't need your phone but I'm going to bring it to contact my family. I like a radio to make my day more enjoyable.

That's exactly what the thread is about but there is always that "I'm a badass" person that wants to tell us all they bring is keys, wallet and phone.

The truth never changes.
Since I'm a cover driver, I carry a backpack daily. My personal things I bring are a towel, extra change of clothes, rain coat, wipes/paper towels, tylenol/advil, pepto, and a phone charger (only sometimes.) I also carry in it UPS supplied pens, info notices, envelopes, and a few of the assorted paper labels for those super random pickups that don't have a label. Soon I'll be adding a flashlight back to my stuff and start bringing my Switch with me to work for those really long days.

Oh I forgot super glue (great band aid replacement), shoe goo (up here in the north it snows a lot and waterproof boots always leak), did I mention baby wipes? Don't want a sore butt again.

Also :censored2: you cover guys. :censored2: you. I take one day off to take my wife to the hospital because she's chasing one of my babies around and knocks her I osteoporosis self into a wall and breaks her hand? And you dumb piece of crap you go through all my stuff and rearrange it? You run my route for one day and I see your sorry ass every day! You think I'm not going to go scream at you? What do you think I'll say to center mngr (who back when I started was my first ever PART TIMER) when he shows me the pictures of your latest accident and says, "what do you think I should do with this guy?"

Oh he's a piece of :censored2: get rid of him.

Is that what you want cover guy? No? Then leave my :censored2: alone you gosh darn :censored2:

I mean if you want to call me a badass that’s up to you but it’s all I’ve brought for going on 15 years. Some rolled up maps back in the day.

All packed into a daily carry.

I like it.

The only thing I see missing (with any driver) is a pair of rubbers.

Nothing worse.... than wet pair of feet.
