How long till you get Health Insurance as a new employee that is a FT package driver? Nebraska is the state

FT driver - UPS starts paying your Teamcare insurance immediately, however it's not available to you for 6 weeks or 2 months? We looked this up for a new off the street hire not too long ago and I've forgotten the waiting period.

Why is this front loaded is my question?

I was hired FT off the street. I started at the end of August and my insurance kicked in sometime in October. Don't remember the date. I'm out west though.
