Yes, and they are all on the fast track to insolvency. America suffers because the government plays such a big role in the economy. Don't believe me? Just wait and check out the new crap boxes that Chrysler is going to produce. They won't sell and Chrysler will be right back in the position it is in now because people aren't buying their crap. Let the market decide what the companies will make and Chrysler can go back to being the lean, efficient car company it was in the 90s. You cannot deny that with enough votes in the Congress Obama would limit our right to own firearms so much so that it would be a nightmare just to own one. By the way, do you believe American is more safe when it cuts its budget for items like radiation scanners at our shipping ports? How about attracting fewer qualified police officers by slashing benefits for officers slain in the line of duty? These moves sure make me feel more safe. While I am thankful for our insurance all of our federal tax bills could rise dramatically if we had to pay taxes on those benefits. Outrage? Care to look into how much it costs those hospitals, pharmacuetical manufacturers, and doctors when something goes painfully wrong and they are slapped with a lawsuit? Medical liability coverage is a very expensive item on their balance sheet. 97% of all healthcare insurance claims are accepted and paid for. Care to provide facts proving otherwise? This I partially agree with, our healthcare system is in need of some serious changes. Free market changes to be exact. Simple things like requiring insurance providers to insure people regardless of their medical history. Requiring that insurance companies who want to sell health insurance in this country has to offer atleast 5 standardized healthplans which the people can become familiar with and understand. Stop the practice of charging patients without insurance more than those with insurance. Finally, make it a requirement that all hospitals report illegal immigrants to the proper authorities once they have been discovered recieving care. These and a few other minor changes can reduce costs, increase coverage, and keep the government out of deciding what kind of care I should recieve. Only my doctor and I should be making those kind of decisions.
