[QUOTE="RLStan, post: 5021462, member: 93459"] Idea's? Helpful hints? Links to answers? Haven't been here for awhile. I'm hoping to get some feedback that will spin me in the right direction. My husband was with UPS for 25 years, he passed from cancer March of 2019. 2 1/2 years and I'm doing my best to keep my house and get my kids into college. Long story shortened...a bit....I hope....Jim was diagnosed with kidney and prostate cancer. He had to stop working shortly after getting diagnosed. Along with the stop of work also meant the stop of health insurance and surprisingly also life insurance. I was not aware his life insurance was cancelled until after his death. Maybe our fault for not getting a lawyer but we were in survival mode. So....here I am. Dealt with UPS (and everything that goes with that) for 25 years and I am now (I held out as long as I could) asking for help, advice, guidance of any kind. Union or UPS scholarships or loans ?? Any information that may help me get my kids through college? I've tried looking.....it appears that the scholarships I've found from UPS only apply to dependents of deceased workers if they were active when they passed. Seems every avenue I try is roadblocked.
