Sponsored the killing of civilians with the Lockerbie airplane bomb amongst others. The UK is part of NATO and many of the passengers were Americans. Why do you defend terrorism?
nato killed libyan civilians btw

chomsky cites the nato bombing of libya as a recent example of its aggressive non defensive nature

Well Chomsky is wrong. Those civilians wouldn't have died if Gaddafi hadn't acted recklessly. After the bombing he backed off and became very cooperative. Sometimes you have to throw down to stop the madness. Or is it your position that it's ok to attack NATO countries but isn't ok for NATO to retaliate?

By the way with an alliance of almost a billion people you'd think NATO would be a lot more aggressive than the examples you cited. Why it's almost like NATO exists to deter authoritarian types who want to take from others.

Here's a new twist.
Massachusetts Governor Healey has called for a State Emergency.
It's not for the approaching hurricane, it deals with the influx of illegals.
Calling out the National Guard was not about protecting the Commonwealth.
It was a way to get more hands on deck to facilitate the illegals’ invasion.
Now with the state of emergency, local regulations concerning overcrowding at hotels/motels can be overlooked.

Grew up observing the antics of Muammar Gaddafi. He really knew how to do politics right, which of course enraged the US. His original cardinal sin was he nationalized Libya's oil industry shortly after 1969.

I don't think it is mentioned in the article above, but there is a particularly goofyaction he undertook. Back in the 80s Libya was struggling with a heatwave. The meteorologists in Libya were all too terrified to report the real temperature of the desert region, so they kept underreporting the temp. It would be 112° and they would report 90°. After several dozen or hundreds died of the heat, Muammar rounded up all the weathermen, and had them executed by firing squad.

Opinion: Democrats need to admit that they’re wrong on immigration
By Fareed Zakaria

“The Democrats are confronting a crisis that could cripple their chances at the polls at the national, state and local level. I’m talking about immigration. It’s happening not only because Republicans are taking advantage of the problem but also because Democrats are unwilling to accept that their policy ideas on the issue are wrong and grossly inadequate to the challenge at hand.

Apprehensions at the southern border are surging again. Texas border towns have long been inundated by the waves of arrivals, but now that migrants are being bused into cities such as New York, Chicago and D.C., local governments there are facing backbreaking expenses to house them. New York Mayor Eric Adams (D) was exaggerating only slightly when he said the problem would “destroy” the city.“
