If I would have depended upon "the community", to raise my daughters...rather than myself (a single father), still working about 50 hrs./ wk.
I'm quite certain they would have not attained the achievements they've reached....it takes hard work to be a successful parent, in turn the kids must also work hard
unfortunately hard work apparently is not a motivating factor anymore
