UPS is bringing the compensation down to industry standard. People are not going to put up with the UPS "way above industry standard" demands for industry standard pay. This applies to all levels and positions. It's already evident that management people are much less willing to make the sacrifices they once did. You "get what you pay for applies." Less pay and benefits will get less dedication, less effort and less results.

I have seen this in action already.
People "don't know" things they use to and are are resistant to putting in the extra effort.
Its that "extra effort" that is missing it seems.
People still do their job but not much beyond their area of responsibility.
