It was a shocking pick for Alaskans, on the radio this morning the reports were she flew to Dayton during the night, we all assumed it was for a surgery or something completely different then it was. Yes Alaska maybe one of the least populist states, but we're one of the most profitable states (more so duriing her cost cutting) we have one of the most diverse populations, and workforces. She may not have head of state foreign policy expierence but she frequently deals with the Canadian, Japanese, and Korea goverments with issues from resource management, to military excersises done in the state. She was not the logical pick, McCaiin could have picked a another senator with years of exp or a former sect of state and joint chiefs member. He picked someone that hasn't played smear campaigns against opponents, a Washington outsider someone that will breath fresh air into the campaign and the country. She has the highest approval rating of any sitting governor after 2 years in office, she did have a transgression involving her former brother in law that is a state trooper, but what would you do if someone threatened to kill your sister? Most people would do exactly what she did, asked the Public Saftey Officer (oversees the troopers) to investigate one of his officers.
