Toonertoo, Welcome to reality. Most people dont really understand what is happening under the sea from this oil drilling rig disaster. If you watch channels like FAUX news, all you see if oil on the surface and no explanation of what is happening under the water. In addition to raw crude, there is natural gas leaking into the water, hydrocarbons and toxins are leaking by the tons. If that wasnt bad enough, millions of tons of toxic oil dispersant are being sprayed into the water. These chemicals combined are killing everything from fish to plant life. Why isnt ANY cable news channel showing the dead dolphins washing ashore, the hundreds of dead sea turtles floating up, the thousands of schools of fish floating to the surface or the hundreds of birds laying covered in oil on beachs along the gulf. National Geographic is saying that this spill will cause a "dead zone" in the gulf and every living thing will be killed and nothing will live in the gulf for decades. http://www.newzisnewz.com/archives/2471 There is alot more to concern ourselves with than oil skimming the surface of the water or cleaning a beach. You will never learn this watching FAUX news or hanging out on right wing websites. The right wing NEVER talks about the sustained damaged that will be caused by this oil rig disaster under the surface of the water, instead, they minimize the damage and speak of more off shore rigs in the deep water. Hopefully, the nature of this disaster will change our focus and find alternative ways to power our cars and make products without the need for crude. Peace.
