Recent Mailing About Medical Visit Options

I got a FedEx mail last week talking about healthcare. It said that virtual medical visits with a company chosen practitioner were free, while a live appointment with your PCP would still have the usual costs. Hmm.

So now I’m supposed to consult a total stranger who knows nothing about my history (privacy laws), is on some list of people no doubt under contract and who may or may not be competent.

It sounds wonderful. I predict vending machine diagnoses next.

Artificial Intelligence is next. I think it is Advent that is partnering with Google to gather up all medical records (anonymous of course) and "teach" the AI how to diagnose issues and prescribe drugs based on all of that info.

Futurology experts are predicting shortages in many professional areas very soon, like pilots and doctors, and it looks like they will be replaced with AI

Another reason Fedex doesn't get good candidates for employment. It's Walmart on wheels at this point.
