This morning at the Local 572 General Membership Meeting in Carson CA Rick "heart-attack" M announced he had given up jurisdiction over the new Compton Hub to open in the coming weeks to Ron Hs of Local 396.
The members of Local 572 have taken this as a total sell-out. RH cut out a $750,000 check to RM. RH also agreed with his unhealthy brother to allow Local 572 feeder drivers to bid on 396 work (this will open-up a can of worms with 396 feeder drivers). With this sweet-heart deal RH will inherit over 500 drivers and an unknown number of inside part-time members that easily should amount to no less than 500 new members.
The deal was rubber stamped on Wednesday with the assistance of the ex UPS manager and current head of Local 63, Joint Council 42 and ex Western Region VP - Randy C.
