Should TCDs be used when there are Full time drivers laid off?
No, and they should file a grievance if it is happening.
I am asking because TCDs are being used for Air runs and to shuttle ground, along with Art 22.3 drivers, that is left in the center. The reasons given are Air Qualified and that it is a different job classification. Does not sound right and wanted to get input. Thanks for the help.
They are working under Art 40 Air operations. The preamble to Art 40 states this Article supersedes all other language on the same subject in the supplements, riders and etc. As a laid off FT driver you can bump into the hub displacing two PTers providing you have more company seniority then the PTers.
