What does it mean when you drivers say you "bid" on a route?
The Center Manager will put a new position up and the driver/Inside employees bid on the opening.
The person with the highest offer generally gets the job, unless a female bids and then other things come in to play.
This has become more prevalent since management salaries have fallen behind the times and in the last year - no raises.
Pretty much like ebay.
Hoaxster, albeit a man of great knowledge, is giving you a line of bull. It simply means whoever wants to sign up for that route can, and it goes to the bidder with the most seniority.
Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but I was not sure.
Once again, thanks.
What he said.
Ye walk with the high boots when you enter the Cafe!
Are you saying UPS is pandering to minorities?
Nope, you said they were pandering to minorities, he said they were greedy.
not greedy.........just broke
Neither ... don't put words in my mouth or I will sic Dilli on you!
Any thread that starts off with "This may be a dumb question ..." is too tempting for a "jokester" like me.
Say "jokester" in Spanish 5 times quickly.
