She must obviously be in D.C. where the only race to watch is to see if Obama breaks 90 percent or if McCain breaks 15 percent. I live in Washington state where the Western seaboard gets to decide everything for the rest of the state. There has been a democratic governor for the last 25 years here. 4 years ago, the Republican candidate Dino Rossi won the election, but the margin was something like 300 votes so they did a recount. Rossi won the 1st recount, there was another recount. He won the second recount albeit with less votes. There was yet another recount and Rossi said he would abide by the recount wether he won or lost. Mystically and as if by magic, he lost by 129 votes on the 3rd recount. Gregoire has done not much to endear herself to the voting populace over here, she raised the payroll for her cabinet by 50 percent over 4 years and has put up even more stupid works projects. I hate works projects. They create jobs for construction by taking a project and stretching it out. There is a new freeway being built over here in Spokane to connect the I-90 to the North Side of Spokane. It's taken so far 10 years of actual construction and property acquisition and 20 years of planning. IT DOESN'T TAKE 20 YEARS TO BUILD A FREEWAY! It's not even 10 miles long! The cost to build this freeway increases every friggen year they dawdle on it. What good is it to create jobs on a works project when it cost the taxpayers 5 times as much as it should cost? If they would have put their heads down and just got it done, the tax payers could have saved hundreds of millions. Enough of that rant...apologies. But the bright spot is that Rossi has a great chance to win in this year of the democrat. If he wins (again) then it will launch him into the national spotlight. Apparently the RNC and DNC have injected a couple million into winning this state. It's going to be fun to watch!
