UPS: Big Brown's Big Move Into China - Seeking Alpha

Dan Brutto, president of UPS’s international operations, believes 2010 offers a good time to expand beyond the international express business that it has long focused on in China.

He says that Chinese demand, once a distant possibility, is now taking shape. The opportunities are tremendous. If you take a look at the growing middle class in the future, the domestic market is going to be worth billions.

Ripe for consolidation, the Chinese package delivery market represents a great opportunity for UPS. XU Yong, chief adviser to China Express Consulting, estimates that international companies can capture a 5-8% share of the domestic side by 2015, up from a fraction of that today.
