UPS driver has no crashes in 51 years - USA Today

UPS driver Tom Camp and his big, brown truck have done something no other UPS driver has accomplished: 51 years without an accident.

That's after an estimated 800,000 to 900,000 miles on the road in metro Detroit, ringing doorbells in Detroit and western Wayne County since 1962, according to the Detroit Free Press.

"Oh, sure I've had close calls," said Camp, 73, of Livonia, who began working for UPS after graduating from St. Francis de Sales High School in Detroit and serving three years in the Marines. "And 90% of it is paying attention. I drive so defensively now — it's not just in my package truck, it's in my own car — you can almost anticipate what other drivers are going to do."

51 years of safe lying. You can't tell me he never had a scratch. Its always best to get along with your mechanic---hes the one who has the brown touch-up paint and the replacement mirrors.

Seems like a load of bull**** to me. 51 years without a hit while parked when he did everything right, but some ****dick in corporate thought his tail lights had a little dirt on them so it was deemed "preventable" if he only cleaned them. I agree, this guy had some help from his management or automotive.

Call me what you want but I still say this guys story is BS. The dude is an ex jarhead---------I've never met one of them yet who isn't full of BS. I'm not saying thats bad ---just that hes full of it. Ya can't bull**** an old bull****ter. He may be better than me as far as lying goes but he sure isn't smart -------I mean really----51 years at UPS.
