UPS Driver Rescues Trapped Woman - 10TV
A United Parcel Service driver was called a hero Friday after rescuing a trapped woman from her car in a pond.
Ethan Callif said one of the key rules as a UPS driver is to expect the unexpected, and he did on Friday, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported.
While on a delivery route near Sawmill Parkway in Delaware County, Callif noticed a car crashed in a pond, and a woman inside, Barry reported.
"I stopped my truck, I ran out there and swam and got her and was able to get a good hold on her, and pulled her up to safety," Callif said. "I was lifting her up, and I pulled her out, and I was kind of swimming back and I was struggling. I couldn't do it, so eventually I got her turned around and got her on my back."
