I should note, the skywalk is also pricey but most touristy things are. If you want a better experience for about the same price, a helicopter tour is a helluva way to see the canyon. Have fun out there.

P.S.I'm still needing to be rescued from my sister's wedding Saturday so I can catch the Pats game...lol

Sorry, the only red rock I visited was the Red Rock Casino. Death Valley would be great if you actually saw a 20 mule-team wagon! I'm a casino rat....have a great trip!!

We really loved our time in Death Valley. Spent all day there and saw maybe a third of it. Take the Death Valley Scotties castle tour

Thanks Rod ,, we are gonnah do that trip , I think I read that Scottie's castle was closed to to flood damage but we will hit the scenic road ,,, being a feeder driver , I really don't want to do a 9 hr rt drive out to canyon !!

Just don't do like we did and be driving along a see a tortoise walking in the ditch and think nothing of it because we see turtles all the time here. We got to the next ranger station and read the poster about how rare the desert tortoises were and we didn't even stop to get a picture. That's too bad about Scottie's Castle---it was really interesting. Death Valley covers a LARGE area.

Treasure Island was good to me and their roulette tables. Fremont Street is a must while down there and also consider wasting a few bucks at Glitter Gulch.

Yea the money seems to last longer on freemont and fun , stayed at the D last year but wife won't stay on freemont again lol. I won about $ 300 at the California
