I'm not allowed to code anybody as training. Not for a minute. So I end up taking a hit on my sort PPH over it and then clerk and washer time afterwords. Instead of sitting there and being able to go through everything thoroughly with every new employee I have to give them the auctioneer intro. I absolutely hate it. Even if they are trained like I would like them to be they give me no hours after the sort. So I end up sending a lot of people home early. My sort is only a little over an hour. I need the amount of people I have for my sort. But afterwords I can't keep that many people on because I will never reach my numbers. I usually only have enough time to run a full crew for an hour, then 2 parkers, 2 clerks, and 1 car washer after the sort. That's tough when during the sort I have 9 employees total. Ideally they should double the wash time and it would make all the difference. I could keep all those guys after the sort washing. Turnover would drop substantially, guys would be trained better, and we'd have the best looking fleet around. It isn't as easy as saying well just give them the time. I'll be without a job if I did it. So the turnover is high. I've brought it up to my FT Sup and center manager about a half dozen times but they tell me that's how it has to be. It's wrong, but that's the way they want it.
