UPS Trade Direct® service allows shippers to bypass distribution centers in destination country

Shippers looking to speed up transportation of goods from Asia can now deliver shipments to their customers faster. UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced today the addition of origin labeling capability for UPS Trade Direct Air and Ocean services. UPS Trade Direct solution allows importers and manufacturers to bypass distribution centers by adding the final destination label to individual packages for immediate last mile delivery. Leveraging the breadth and reliability of the UPS® global network, UPS Trade Direct tools provide consolidation of international freight, air, ocean and ground transportation, customs clearance and direct delivery to multiple addresses within the destination country, all through a single source.

The UPS Foundation, which leads the global citizenship programs for UPS (NYSE: UPS), announced it is awarding grants totaling more than $2.3 million to non-profit organizations to increase global volunteerism. Grants will support initiatives to bolster global communities, including disaster preparedness and recovery, youth literacy and skills development and veterans training.

Print on Demand is a new service in collaboration with Deliv, Inc. that delivers online print orders to customers’ doorsteps within an hour*

The UPS Store today launched its “Print on Demand” pilot program that enables customers to receive on-demand delivery service for select print products – everything from business cards and presentations to flyers and brochures. To facilitate delivery, The UPS Store is collaborating with Deliv, a leading same-day delivery company that will provide a web-based solution to schedule and fulfill deliveries. The one-hour* print delivery service is the first of its kind and is available now at more than 180 The UPS Store locations in Chicago and Dallas.

The UPS Store celebrated more than just the debut of its first-ever float in the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade® today taking home the Isabella Coleman Award for its float “Books Bring Us Together,” a float designed to highlight the importance of childhood literacy.

The Isabella Coleman Award, named after the first female float designer for the Tournament of Roses Parade, is given to the float that represents the best in presentation of color and color harmony through floral use.

The float was designed to spotlight the Toys for Tots Literacy Program, developed by The UPS Store and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in 2008. The program provides books and educational resources to economically disadvantaged children in communities across the country, aiming to enhance children’s ability to read and communicate effectively by igniting their imaginations through stories and tales.
