Neither one affects me. I can retire anytime I want and will be just fine. Work another year or two and I can afford that vacation house. I support my president and his decisions. I voted for him to make decisions that he needs to make. I never heard any bitching when Hoffa extended entire contracts, for months at a time. UPS is asking for a 30 day extension on the 60 day extension they already had. It's not the end of the world. OK. Never said that. The 6th punch was not in force after ratification. We worked for 60 days during the new contract without the no 6th punch clause. UPS asked for an extension. I agreed with SOB. If he disagreed and didn't give it to them, that is my president's decision and I could live with that. He made the choice without consulting me, or any of the other 330,000 Teamsters. But that is why we elected him. To make the tough choices, right or wrong in our eyes.
