I don't care if my pension can "thrive" without increased contributions, my pension is directly tied to the contributions made on my behalf. Reducing or canceling contribution increases reduces the potential of my future pension.

Just because my trustees didn't me doesn't make it okay to take from me. That would be like saying your investments are doing better than mine, so Edward Jones needs to start sending your investment money to my portfolio instead of yours for a while.

But it would be like saying if we normally each got $15.30 a hour from UPS, but I didn’t need all of it because my pension was well funded,(and they can be too well funded). And you could use another 30 cents because your pension is in danger, then I’d agree (or manipulate) UPS to send leftover contributions your way. No one is stealing from each other. We are all taking from UPS.
