This argument doesn’t make sense coming from the Republican Party. Republicans represent a minority view. They’ve been EARNING fewer votes than Democrats for decades. The current president earned fewer votes than his opponent and the Senate majority members earned fewer votes than the minority. National Republicans don’t represent the views of a majority of Americans.
My argument makes perfect sense. Elections are local. Every Republican you see in the Senate won a majority in his state. And in this country electoral votes are what matter for president. You aren't entitled to be in control of everything. Guess who didn't work hard enough to get votes in key states in 2016? And look at how many judges Trump has gotten passed. Hundreds. Guess who left all those vacancies unfilled after 8 years in office? Your side has to work harder, not feel entitled.

Mitch kept those seats open. A minority of religious zealots controlling power is not good for democracy.

Obama's party controlled the Senate his first two years. And look at the partisan vote for ACB. Kagan and Sotomayor votes were much more bipartisan. And a bunch of anti-religion zealots aren't good for democracy either.

news flash a recent gallop poll has independent voters at 40 percent. that means both parties represent a minority view

Kind of ironic that on Hillary Clinton's birthday, President Donald J. Trump filled the third Supreme Court vacancy of his term as Amy Coney Barrett was seated on the bench.

That is winning at the highest level!

When Democrats controlled Congress and the Supreme Court was liberal for decades there was never an issue. Now you think the system needs reform. You guys got complacent, didn't understand what your constituents were trying to tell you. Here's a novel idea, EARN the voters' trust. Of course that may take longer than you'd like but in the long run that'll be better for the country than trying to rig everything in your favor.
And when it comes to rigging courts at all federal levels nobody knows more about that than Mitch and his minions.
