Moderation has been more consistent since the monkey butt got fired. It’s still not terribly consistent though, but we aren’t to discuss moderation in the public forum.

I think platforms should be able to moderate their content however they see fit as long as they aren’t producing their own content and promoting that above users for money.
When you promote your platform as a public square open to all then try to influence or control content that benefits one group over another you shouldn't have the protections that media outlets don't enjoy.

I think they should be treated as Regulated Public Utilities myself.
They have morphed into essential public service providers.

Social media as a public utility is a theory postulating that social networking sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat etc.) are essential public services that should be regulated by the government, in a manner similar to how electric and phone utilities are typically government regulated. It is based on the notion that social media platforms have monopoly power and broad social influence.

No they don't. They do claim to have a copy. A copy they have yet to publish anything from. Anyway...
They've already published an email. And to be clear the FBI has the hard drive and several people/companies have copies of it. A lot of info coming out and in spite of Facebook/Twitter's best efforts the word is getting out. Biden and his entire family are crooks.

NY POST has not verified the emails. They published PDF files created weeks ago, not the files. Why not use the copy of the drive? The fact they burned their anonymous source due to journalistic incompetence might lead a reasonable person to question their integrity.

nowhere special
Savanah Guthrie got frustrated and was yelling at Trump when he remained calm despite her attacks and loaded questions. She was really hoping for him to have a meltdown.

The NY Post is conservative, pro-Trump? Do you have any idea how liberal NYC is? The only conservative major newspaper in the country is the Wall Street Journal.

The terms of use says not to discuss staff decisions. We can talk about what a terrible mod monkey butt was :)

I'm ambivalent about platforms and moderation. Just have clear rules and be as consistent as possible. YouTube has a bad habit of violating the contract they have with some content developers by randomly demonetizing videos during peak view times, effectively preventing the channels from getting the money they should have been entitled to under their terms of service.

Oh good. Maybe he can take a lot of other useless celebrities with him!

They keep saying stuff like that, but they didn't leave the first time. I say we broker a deal with Canada, send all anti-trumpers up there. I'm not sure what a fair trade would be, maybe we'll just owe them a favor.
