There's a line that the U.S. won't let them cross because it would likely cause a severe recession. The various OPEC nations aren't obligated to make up that production because the higher prices benefit them. But as I said, in spite of all this it may come down to destroying their oil fields and ports to totally cripple them. But after the other day that's not on the table.
