Bush clearly is the hands down worst president ever in history of the United States. His economic record speaks for itself. He and his republican congress had to raise the DEBY CEILING 9 times to cover the MASSIVE debt he has stuck OBAMA with. The same went for CARTER as he absorbed all the debt of LBJ and NIXON as they both ran the vietnam war to levels that caused our country to go into a STEEP recession. WHile the democrats created vietnam, the republican led white house of R. NIXON made it worse and the bill came due during Carters term.. While I agree, he mishandled the country in dealing with this debt, I have total confidence that OBAMA will not make the same mistakes as Carter. OBAMA is following a republican fiscal nightmare that will last for over 10 years. So far, Obama's efforts are still welcomed overwhelmingly by the american public. OVer 50% of america believes we are on the right track versus 19% who thought BUSH was on the right track. WARs destroy countries. The falsehood of "keeping us safe" costs trillions in losses in other areas. War is not good for the domestic economy. Bush's wars cost us more than we can calculate, but its people like those that follow the republican diatribe who believe otherwise as they are laid off their jobs. In the last 4 years in office, BUSH could not speak in public. He was boooooed when he threw out the first pitch in DC, he was stuck only speaking at military facilities in the U.S. This is a total embarrassment. Obama on the other hand, was greeted graciously when he threw out the first pitch at the all star game. This alone defines respect for the commander in chief. While people may believe Obama has it wrong on some issues, they have not yet reached the level of HATE that George W. Bush has earned. To me and many like me, Bush is the new Herbert Hoover. You wont see any monuments dedicated to Bush in the near future. Well, maybe in podunk you might see something, but not in the mainstream USA. Bush will never be able to travel the world and be an ambassador to this country as Bill Clinton has been able to do. Clinton can travel anywhere at anytime and have the respect of foriegn leaders. Bush cant make it out of an airport anywhere in the world without facing thousands of haters. He gets the respect he deserves (nothing). :peaceful:
