The authority to choose those electors ultimately resides with the individual state legislatures.

That’s a good point. We should re enact the 3/5 th compromise. If you are anything but white your vote is worth 3/5th a vote that way republicans can keep winning elections. Than again you may lose by 10% this election and in some election votes are worth way less than 3/5ths. Let’s just make only republican votes counts!! The electoral college certainly wasn’t made at a time of great racism and no other country adopted it because they saw it for was it is!! White power!! White power!!

I think that schedule will get pushed back. Trump is playing poker right now . He's going to tie up the entire process with lawyers and set back all schedules. All states are supposed to ceritfy by november 20th. there are states that will be tied up in court and unable to do so. Trump has a favorable judicial system he built the past 4 years and a very favorable supreme court that could help him on challenges. If he does not get his way through a favorable judicial system I think he will litigate and drag this out for the january 20th deadline.
