[QUOTE="Been In Brown Too Long, post: 3670814, member: 32249"] I know, it's lunacy to have a plan to conserve water in a state that has frequent droughts. We should just burn through our water every year, then wonder why we have no water in a drought. That's how I run my finances too, because I'm just that dumb. Kinda just like you hurricane states that are surprised every year that 3 hurricanes will be ripping through town and have done nothing to prepare for them. If you read your very article, you'd see what the numbers are...I couldn't use 55gal. per person, indoors only, if I tried. We've had these same restrictions for years, they're just becoming permanent. While I agree, "I don’t believe in giving the government anymore of my hard earned money than i have to," in theory, you'd be incorrect in assuming that I pay more in taxes than someone who's state doesn't collect a state income tax. Those states just tax you in different ways at higher rates. Most of them have much higher sales tax, property tax, etc. Having no state income tax generally benefits the super rich, while average, hard working middle class people foot more of the bill...that would be UPSers...enjoy! What I pay in state income tax annually is far less than someone would spend simply traveling for vacation for a week. I, however get to live here year round. You only live once, and life is too short to live in a place that makes you miserable when you're not on vacation! It's funny how these threads devolve into a "I hate Cali" fest every time I mention that I'm in NorCal simply to give perspective as to what supplement I would fall under. Oh well, have fun....
