Yes they do. After you learn, they allow you to borrow the truck for the weekend, in order to practice. You are responsible for fuel however.

I bought a brand new ford ranger that was a manual transmission and I didn't even know how to drive it. Had to have someone drive it home for me. Learned pretty quick then went air driving. It turned into a lucrative career.

My area is now hiring drivers who cannot drive a stick, my building is about 95% auto tran anyway. The days of needing to drive a stick are over.
We had a new guy awhile back planned on a route but it had a stick, sup. had to go with him all day and drive, next day route had an auto.

People refuse to drive because it isn't automatic? Where the heck is that crying baby gif? In my day ALL they had were sticks. We had to drive uphill both directions to and from our areas. Power steering? What is that? We even had to stop our PCs like Fred Flintstone, cause brakes hadn't been invented yet.

They always have a standard for me I prefer them anyways. Auto transmission seems to be more shaky at highway speeds.
