Finally, you say (Post) something is actually accurate for a change. Unfortunately, you left out the MOST important part of the story relating to the gassing of the kurds. Where did Saddam Hussein get the chemical weapons in the first place? Who provided him with this "HORRIBLE" weapon of war to use on civilians? Did Saddam Hussein have the capacity and technology to create such weaponry? Who ultimately GAVE Saddam Hussein the green light to use chemical weapons in his country while at war with IRAN? You left this out of your post, because it defeats everything you stand for as a republican. Just before the gassing of the Kurdish people, Saddam Hussein met with and negotiated with DICK CHENEY and DONALD RUMSFELD to purchase CHEMICAL WEAPONS to be used against the Iranian military who were invading from the east. The REAGAN administration PROVIDED the MUSTARD GAS, SARIN GAS and other poisons to be used against the IRANIANS. The entire International community LOOKED the other way while Saddam Hussein killed hundreds of Iranians with AMERICAN MADE GAS. When the war was over, Saddam Hussein had gas remaining, and if you know anything about "mixed" chemical weapons, you would know that they have a "SHORT LIFE" span or shelf life. You either have to use it or LOSE IT. Saddam Hussein had a problem with the Kurds in the north as they were on land that held MAJOR oil FIELDS and Saddam wanted to get his hands on it. Well, why not use the gas on the Kurds? Reagan authorized it, Cheney and Rumsfeld supplied it, all three were looking in the opposite direction while he gassed the Iranians , so why not the Kurds? What was going to happen? Did Reagan Invade Iraq after the attack? Did Reagan FIRE Cheney and Rumsfeld after supplying the weapons of mass destruction? Of course he didnt, and nobody was fired. You CRY for these people, but it was YOUR HERO who was ultimately responsible for their deaths. Next time, post all the details of an event such as this. Peace TOS
