Been here almost 10 years. CP used to once be a proud company that respected their employees and treated them with dignity and respect. The first 5 years of my career were fantastic. The work environment was mostly positive, and the RTEs and management worked together as a team to ensure fluidity of operations. <br /> <br /> However, the last 5 years, especially the last 4 have been miserable. The work environment is toxic. Upper management scream and yell st lower management, which in turn then take out their frustrations on the workers below them. We are talked down to more often than given a pat on the back. Morale is at an all time low. Zero team effort these days. It's go to work, fly under the radar and hope you don't get fired this trip. <br /> <br /> It used to be if you worked hard, and kept a good work record that if you needed a weekend off for something( say a wedding in which you are a groomsman/bridesmaid) that no questions asked you'd be able to. Now they won't even let you know until a few days before whether you can go or not. They paint every employee with the same brush regardless of your work ethic, work record and attitude ( good or bad). <br /> <br /> Compensation is the only positive thing about this job now. The new American CEO hates the running trades. I hope this company gets better because it used to be a fantastic job. </a></li> </ul></blockquote><p></p>
