There is misinformation here. Flying Tigers did not use B727QC. They were all 727-100F and -200F aircraft. Further, at the time FedEx acquired Flying Tigers there were no DC-8s in the Tiger fleet. All DC-8 planers had been disposed of. When FedEx acquired Tigers, Tigers had the largest fleet of B747 cargo aircraft of any airline in the world.
When we had DC-8s all were not used for military pax charters.

Wrong. All of the DC-8's were re-registered as FedEx aircraft, and some continued to fly for FedEx, but not for long. And Flying Tigers had several of the 727-100C types, which are convertible.
