Last peak I worked a full 70 hours one week with the 70 hr rule in effect. I grossed close to $4k but net around $2700 after tax, union dues and 401k. One check paid for my post-peak Vegas vacation.

I do it every peak. Usually only have a couple hours left on Saturday. You may not want to do the work they give, but it's your hours to make money if you want. Unloading, loading, car wash, helper, checking trucks, etc. I've been told to do it all.

Why not? All he is saying is with proper language in the contract, if you work Saturday (or Sunday possibly), it's because you're scheduled
I thought they couldn't Force you in if you don't have 8 hours available
